Redan Infrastructure Private Limited (RIPL) established in 2009
to build, develop and operate Waste, Biomass, Solar, Wind, and Small Hydel power
plants in India.
High demand for energy and lucrative returns in renewable energy generation business
are the motivating factors behind the inception of RIPL. We ventured into the business
of power generation through renewable sources like Industrial Waste, Biomass, Solar,
Wind, and Water. These renewable sources are alternative to depleting fossil fuels
and provide clean energy that is environmental friendly, cost-effective, reliable
and sustainable.
RIPL has plans to develop 50 MW of renewable power projects by 2012 and 100 MW by
2014. RIPL will achieve this growth through the implementation of Green Field projects
as well as acquisition of existing renewable power plants and licenses.
By 2014 we want to build the portfolio that consists of Industrial Waste, Biomass,
Solar, Wind and Hydel based power plants. At present we are focusing on renewable
energy plants that utilize industrial waste (poultry litter, Municipal Solid Waste)
and Biomass (waste wood, agricultural waste, Rice Husk) fuels in Andhra Pradesh.
Soon we will be focusing on other renewable energy sources and venture into other
geographical locations in India.
RIPL obtained two 7.5 MW licenses to develop Poultry Waste and Biomass based power
plants in Chittoor and Vizianagaram Districts in AP. RIPL also obtained a 5.0 MW
in principle license to develop Solar Thermal power plant in Guntur District in
AP. We are in the process of obtaining additional renewable energy licenses in Andhra
Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat states.
Renewable energy generation will help in meeting nation’s growing need of power
and makes it less dependent on depleting fossil fuels as well as reduce carbon emissions
and other pollutants.
Since all our plants will be small and distributed in rural areas, employment generation
will be beneficial to the respective local communities. Most of the renewable energy
sources are free of cost and abundant in nature and this will minimize our exposure
to cost fluctuations in fuel industry. Our distributed generation model will help
in reducing transmission and distribution losses.
Renewable energy projects generate carbon credits for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Our projects will generate carbon credits for methane avoidance / destruction, carbon
avoidance, renewable energy generation, and fuel switch from fossil fuel. These
carbon credits will generate additional revenue to the projects.
We have good management team and team of advisors with 100+ years of management
experience in operational and commissioning of renewable energy power plants in
public and private sectors.
